Objective
Uptown Events required high-impact creative visuals to pitch three distinct festive themes for a corporate party at The Gherkin. The goal was to demonstrate how the Iris Bar (Level 40) could be transformed through different stylistic lenses, to secure client approval.
The Solution
Using Cinema 4D and Photoshop, I developed three immersive creative concepts that focused on the atmosphere and layout of the Iris Bar level:
1920s Art Deco: I designed a gold-accented lounge environment, using geometric furniture and period-appropriate props to create a "Great Gatsby" aesthetic within the modern glass structure.
Retro Disco: A vibrant, neon-led concept focusing on reflective surfaces and high-energy lighting to show how the dome would glow after dark.
High-Stakes Casino: A high-end Bond-style setup featuring professional gaming tables and silhouette branding, positioned to maximize the backdrop of the London skyline.
The Outcome
Following the delivery of these 3D concepts, the event was green-lit and executed at The Gherkin. The project was so successful that it served as the 'benchmark' for the client’s following year's event at One Marylebone, where Uptown Events was challenged to top the Gherkin production.
